Coronacovirus (COVID-19) has now claimed another victim in the West.
The World Health Organization (WHO) on Monday said a 26-year-old man from the Czech Republic died on Saturday.
The man died of COVID-21 infection after attending a COVID awareness campaign.
He was not on any medications, the WHO said in a statement.
The Czech Republic has seen a sharp increase in the number of COIDS in recent weeks, with the country recording 6,988 cases and 5,912 deaths, according to the WHO.
The coronavirus has also caused a sharp rise in infections across Europe, particularly in countries that have struggled with the pandemic.
A total of 2,821 new cases of COID-19 have been recorded in France, and 6,858 cases and 1,933 deaths have been reported in Germany.
More than 2,200 cases of the virus have been confirmed in the UK, with 1,719 deaths.
In the US, coronaviruses are mainly confined to a handful of regions of the country, including the Southwest, Midwest and Northeast.
