Golden Gate Bridge is about to undergo a massive renovation.
The construction will see the span undergo major changes that will involve a new walkway, bridge decks, and pedestrian walkways.
A new walkpath will be added to the Golden Gate Boulevard overpass that will connect to the new bridge.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the span’s new walkways will include a bridge deck, a new bridge deck and a pedestrian walkway that will span over the existing walkways, which are now located at a lower elevation.
The walkways on the new span will be the largest in the world, the San Jose Mercury News reported.
The bridge’s new pedestrian walk ways will feature a curved walkway to allow people to take in the sights along the way.
The walkway will be about two feet wide, and will be open at all times.
The new bridge will also have more space for pedestrians, with the span adding a pedestrian crossing that will be located on the bridge deck.
The proposed Golden Gate bridge replacement will also include the construction of a new pedestrian bridge over the Golden State Parkway that will allow for pedestrian crossings and a new entrance at the new pedestrian crossing.
A pedestrian bridge would allow for the bridge to open more quickly for pedestrians to travel between the new bridges and the existing Golden Gate bridges, allowing more pedestrians to be on the Golden Gates during peak hours.
The Golden Gate Bridges and the Golden Bay Bridge currently operate on a week-to-week basis, which means that if the bridge was to be replaced in the summer of 2021, it would be necessary to open it up to the public for the first time in a year.
